Sitting all day can be bad for you, but what can you do when your job requires you to be at a desk all day. Take breaks ever 15 minutes or so when you are working at a desk–walk across the room, do a stretch–something to break the repetition. Here’s some stretches that really hep prevent injury and get the blood flowing.

I came across this a couple of years ago, not sure who wrote it.
19 Ways To Maintain A Healthy Level Of Insanity
1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.
2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don’t disguise your voice.
3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that.
4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it ‘in’.

A company’s logo is it’s face to the world. It’s the starting point for creating your brand, but what’s the process? How do you as a client get a good logo that best represents your company? Using a qualified designer is a good starting point, a good place to look is the Graphic Designer’s of Canada’s website, or ask people you know who are in business. When I was in junior high, I volunteered to run the AV lab. I was responsible for keeping the machines all running, things like reel-to-reel tape players, overhead projectors and anything the teachers would use to aid them in class. One of the things I got to do was run the Gestetner Duplicator, it was my first experience with printing. The ink had a unique smell I still remember it, on test day, all the classrooms would smell like Gestetner ink. I recently came across this advert for one of its competitors.

It’s that time of year again when all the zombies and princesses show up for free candy. This drawing was done entirely in Manga Studio Pro, from sketch to finished art. No more Corel Painter for me, what a buggy app that was.

Hunter Oatman-Stanford has compiled a great compendium of matchbook covers. The low quality reproductions have a certain charm to them. Especially when enlarged. The illustrations are so economical and well designed. via Collectors Weekly.
