I am my own experiment. I am my own work of art.

I have  Bachelor of Design and Masters of Illustration degrees and was a long-time professional member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC). I also was a professional member of the National Cartoonists Association (U.S.). When I’m not designing, cartooning or illustrating, I like to sit down with 88 keys and have some fun. In the winter, we slap on some snowshoes and hit the mountains (no really! So Canadian).

Guy Parsons Visual Communications Inc. had been operating since 1988, we closed the doors in 2025. I’ve been producing artwork for print since 1978. That’s right—I was like three years old. My clients include companies such as Sports Illustrated, The Globe and Mail, Adobe, and Shell Canada. I also practice as a sessional instructor at the Alberta University of the Arts, teaching fun things—like Design, Drawing and Technology.

Check out my portfolio, but remember, I’ve been designing, illustrating and cartooning for over thirty years, so I’ve got a lot more to show. I’ve created work for branding and corporate identity, packaging, exhibits, publications, websites and so much more. I even did a drawing of wolverine poo once, but that’s a story for another day.
