Have a Happy Day

Have a Happy Day

“Have a nice day” T-shirts were everywhere when I was a kid. I heard Graphic Designer Harvey ball got paid $45 to create it for State Mutual Life Insurance. Neither he or the insurance company thought to trademark it. Millions were made off of it. Kind of like Milton Glaser’s I ❤️ NY design.

War Museum

War Museum

This was a really fun and interesting project. Finding out about Canadian soldiers in World War Two. I did this before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It really resonates with me now seeing what has unfolded in world affairs today. War isn’t history anymore.

Canada Place

Canada Place

Canada Place celebrates to all things Canadian, There’s a Canada Arm in it, dedications to the Fathers of Confederation, Canadian Inventions, explorers and more . There were over 15 separate exhibits, I designed the panels under the direction of Rob Ward, project manager. Most exhibits had interactive screens, when you look through the images, there”s even an Artists palate that is touch sensitive.
Bow Habitat Station

Bow Habitat Station

The Bow Habitat station was the largest project we worked on doing the Design. Hundreds of panels of Illustrations, photos and texts wove through the three galleries on two floors. A custom typeface was designed to make the display typography unique to this site, and a colour palette controlled the look and feel throughout the galleries. I learned a ton about fish, the habitat of fish, birds and other animals.
