I became obsessed with his story. The internet portrayed him as one of America’s greatest athletes; and one of it’s biggest failures. It made no sense all the conflicting stories. I found two books that seemed to be truth based. The book by Robert Wheeler was the most accurate in my opinion. What a great story was his life.
