BibliOdyssey has a collection of Emblemata Nova, or Illustrations that are to be “read” by the viewer. The emblems contain symbology that was aimed at conveying political, moral or religious values. Although a contemporary reader may have some trouble understanding the symbols, the drawings are interesting nonetheless.
